چکیده

This study aims to determine the ability of Modified Foam Stability (FS-50) test predict fetal lung maturity in preterm premature rupture membranes treated with Dexamethasone. The sample included pregnant women PROM at a gestational age 24 less than 34 weeks ER and Obstetrics Ward Sanglah Central General Hospital, Denpasar. patient underwent vaginal speculum examination collect fluid pooled vagina or from outer cervical opening. Fluids are checked graded 0 +4 estimate maturity. first was performed before Dexamethasone, followed by serial examinations 12-hour intervals for 48 hours. Before dexamethasone injection, all patients got scores as baseline. There were statistically significant differences FS-50 values after injection first, second, third, fourth doses Dexamethasone PPROM patients. Fetal reached third dose (36 hours injection), characterized an value > +3 no asphyxia newborn. Spearman's rank analysis showed correlation (p=0.005) between infants' maximum status. is associated absence infants born who given maturation. can therapy.

Cost-effectiveness of fetal lung maturity testing in preterm labor.

OBJECTIVE To determine the marginal cost-effectiveness of two strategies for preventing respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) resulting from preterm birth: 1) tocolysis with beta-mimetic agonists and treatment with corticosteroids (TREATALL), and 2) amniocentesis and testing for fetal lung maturity, with treatment based on test results (TESTALL), compared with no treatment. METHODS We used a Ma...
